The mountain towns of both Ellijay and Blue Ridge have so much to offer, with an abundance of shopping including antiques, boutiques and specialty stores. You’ll find some great restaurant with some delicious local cuisine of BBQ and fresh trout all the way up to fine dining with options that include one of kind farm to table delicacies. Ellijay is a bit more quaint, with  more “mom and pop” options while downtown Blue Ridge boast an air of sophistication and elegance . Both towns are a must see while you’re exploring the Mountains of North Georgia.

For the outdoor enthusiast, this is a wonderland of opportunity. We had some of the best hiking in the Southeast with the Benton- MacKaye Trail, the largest feeder into the Appalachian Trail,
zig-zaging throughout the area. The Pinohoti Trail is great for both hiking and mountain biking, it feeds directly into Springer Mountain, the starting point of  the Appalachian Trail .

We also offer world class trout fishing, with stocked rivers and creeks located In both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. At many of our cabins you can fish right out your back door and then grill up your catch of the day for a delicious dinner. Some great options for throwing in a line include the Toccoa, Chattooga, Cohutta, Jacks Creek, Conosauga and Cooper Creek.

Do you need a bit more adventure, how about white water rafter down the Ocoee River, you’ll find class 3 to 5 rapids and some heart pumping excitement as you make your way down the 10 miles stretch of the upper and middle Ocoee. If rafting is a bit too daring for your taste but you still enjoy the water, be sure to take a trip to either Carter’s Lake or Lake Blue Ridge, both have gorgeous pristine waters and daily boat rentals.

If we haven’t given you enough ideas yet, the North Georgia Mountains also offers zip-lines, horse-back riding and for the more mellow at heart, wineries, waterfalls, golf and day spas, where you can be pampered to your hearts content.
