Description

If the lure of the river along with the peace and quiet of the beautiful North Georgia mountains is your ideal getaway, the Rushing River Lodge is definitely the perfect vacation destination for you. Located in the Coosawattee River Resort, there are so many great options for where you can sit and relax. Being a true River Front Cabin, the water is always nearby and oh so enjoyable to watch. So many good choices, maybe sitting in one of the rockers on the screened-in porch, on the cozy swing built for two, in the recessed hot tub, or possibly in front of a roaring fire out by the custom made fire pit. Every seat has an incredible view of the Coosawattee River and this breathtaking North Georgia mountain setting. If you can tear yourself away from the great outdoors, the interior is just as inviting.

Tastefully decorated in custom mountain decor, you'll find a comfy leather sofa and love seat situated in front a stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, making this the perfect place to snuggle up with someone special for a weekend or longer. If you like to dabble in the kitchen, there's a brand new gas range, stainless steel appliances, and gorgeous granite counter-tops. Just picture yourself frying up your day's catch of catfish or bass served with some local organic North Georgia veggies and accompanied by a nice glass of wine from one of our Georgia mountain vineyards. Be sure to save some room for dessert; delicious s'mores with marshmallows freshly roasted over the fire pit that sits just a few feet from the river front.

When it's time for bed, send the kiddos up to the custom loft where they'll each have their own built-in bed with private DVD player and headphones. Mom and Dad can relax in one of the deluxe king-size beds and watch some TV on the 42" flat screen or relax on the private screened-in porch overlooking the Coosawattee River, taking in this magnificent North Georgia setting. Each space in this beautifully decorated cabin is perfectly appointed, offering both kids and adults great spaces to rest and play during a stay in the scenic North Georgia mountains

Located just 10 minutes from downtown Ellijay, you'll find plenty of great restaurants and shops to spend hours strolling these lovely streets in the Mountains of North Georgia. The yearly Apple Fest is minutes away from this cabin, where you can find a multitude of talented vendors displaying their unique Georgia Mountain art.

I've stayed at Rushing River three years in a row now and always have an amazing experience! The cabin itself is beautifully decorated complete with gourmet kitchen inside, gas grill outdoors, and of course the fire pit. Easy access to downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge for shopping/dining as well as to some beautiful hiking trails. Though once you see the cabin, you'll most likely opt to just relax and listen to the river from the screened in porch, or the comfort of the hot tub and watch the deer.

We rented Rushing River Lodge the first weekend in December, but were not prepared for the incredible beauty, quality, and comfort this cabin afforded. The living areas were quite enjoyable, the beds/baths extremely comfortable and the kitchen had every appliance our own kitchens had. The outside swing, hammock, and hot tub greatly contributed to our entire enjoyment of this cabin. The river was beautiful and daily visits from the local deer were fascinating. The overall visit to this fabulous retreat was incredibly relaxing and fun. We have already decided to come back next fall

We loved the Rushing River Lodge, so satisfied with everything from the booking to the cabin and setting. It was cleaner then most of the 4 and 5 star hotels we stay in and the location on the river was amazing!! The cabin itself was gorgeous, the kitchen had everything we could have needed and more, even the bathrooms were upscale. Not to be missed the huge fire pit sitting next to the river. I do not see how you could offer any more, our vacation was perfect!

The inside of the cabin was stunning from the wood burning fireplace in the upstairs master bedroom. Even our little Pomeranian Gracie-Mae loved it. We booked Rushing River as a Christian couple’s getaway and what an awesome time we had sharing with one another by the cozy fireplace & the crackling fire pit by the river. Here God put a little peace of heaven.We listened to nature in all her glory as the soothing sound of the river sang us to sleep & gently woke us each morning. The birds were singing welcoming springs arrival as deer frolicked in the front yard day after day posing for pictures just yards away
