Light Up Blue Ridge is made up of multiple events over two days! On Friday, November 26, the fun gets kicked off with Blue Friday, Blue Ridge’s version of Black Friday! Downtown merchants with offer great discounts, so you can treat your loved ones this Christmas. The area will be filled with live entertainment all day including tons of Holiday cheer, food vendors, and strolling entertainment.
The next day is the official Light Up Blue Ridge on East Main Street! This famous Christmas festival is the perfect kick off to the holiday season. There will be music, caroling, and of course, plenty of refreshments and all-day activities. You’ll be mesmerized by the exciting lighting of the Christmas tree and you’ll even get to visit with a familiar, rosy round faced, white bearded jolly old man, you guessted…Santa! He’ll be there to greet you so have in mind what you want for Christmas, we know you’ll be on the nice list this year.
The fun begins at noon with entertainment on the main stage on Depot Street which runs until 5 pm. A parade follows at 5:30 pm. It will run down East Main from Church to Mountain, down Mountain, and back up West Main to Depot.
