The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway celebrates with its winter rides until December 23! Enjoy the 26-mile long roundtrip through the beautiful North Georgia Mountains! Get a breathtaking view of the Toccoa River all while riding in a vintage climate-controlled (or open-air) rail car! The exciting train ride starts at the Historic Depot located in Downtown Blue Ridge. The train ride also makes a 2-hour layover in the delightful towns of McCaysville, Georgia, and Copperhill, Tennessee. Take time to shop or eat at local eateries while stopped! This event is particularly special because Santa will be on board! While on board your family will hear the popular Christmas story “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” sing Christmas carols, and enjoy visiting with one another. Santa will walk through each train car and visit each child and pose for pictures. Each passenger will receive a Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad Memento while exiting.
