Do you want to travel back in time during your stay? Head over to the Old Sautee Store and Museum! Entrance is free, but the products aren’t. There, you’ll discover the wonderful and immaculate world of the 19th century. The store, itself was built over 150 years ago and features a variety of displays and small exhibitions, as well as delicious local products, like jam, cheese, sandwiches, and more.
One of our favorite family activities in North Georgia is to visit the Mercier Orchards! It’s particularly ideal if you are coming to our region in the fall when apple picking is happening. Entrance to the orchards is free, but you might have to spend money on products or tasting. Enjoy scenic tractor tours, U-pick for seasonal fruits (blueberries, apples, or even strawberries), and try their homemade pies and cider!
