The Best Things to Do in Blue Ridge During Labor Day Weekend
BBQ and More!
If you aren’t in the mood to cook in your Morning Breeze Cabin Rental, no worries! The Good Samaritans of Fannin County have been putting on this Labor Day BBQ each 1st Monday in September since 1981! The tradition lives on this year and will not disappoint! The annual BBQ is a three-day event! Monday is the big event with BBQ and music starting at 11am. Saturday will be the Pic.Nic.Nac that will include walking around the park and learning about the different local churches and services. Sunday will be the community worship service and the ice cream social located in the park.
Monday from 11:30am to 6:30pm BBQ will be served with all the fixins! Food is limited and will be served until they run out, so be sure to get there early before it’s gone! The BBQ will be held at the Blue Ridge City Park. Bring along the whole family to enjoy good food, good fun and great entertainment! Tickets can be purchased at local churches, the Fannin County Chamber of Commerce or the park on Labor Day.
Hillcrest Orchard Apple Pickin’ Jubilee
Labor Day weekend kicks off the most wonderful time of the year, apple picking season! Hillcrest Orchards Apple Picking’ Jubilee starts September 1st and goes until October 28th! Come celebrate apple picking season with live bluegrass music, fun activities, apples and more! There is a petting zoo for the kids and many activities for the whole family! Toccoa River Tubing
Take a dip in the water and float down the Toccoa River. This activity is perfect for those who want to relax and just enjoy the gentle flow of the water! This is the ideal water activity for the entire family and we definitely encourage you to bring your children (all children must be at least 5 years of age or older to participate). Not only will you enjoy the refreshing waters of the Toccoa River but you will get the opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery of Blue Ridge, Georgia! What better time than Labor Day weekend?
