North Georgia Tubing Adventure
North Georgia has the best tubing adventures in the south! Tubing in North Georgia can be a great way to beat the heat and soak in the beautiful mountain air in the process. Relaxing in a tub as you float down a North Georgia Mountain river drifting mindlessly for a few hours sounds glorious! The beautiful waters of the Ellijay River run through the mountains in and around the city of Ellijay. These beautiful rivers are nestled deep in the North Georgia Mountains which create the perfect setting for relaxation and fun. 6-mile-long tubing trip down the Toccoa River, lasts about 2-3 hours depending on the water level. If you are bringing young kids, give them a call to see if the water is high that day. It is best for children who are not experienced swimmers to go on a day that the water is low and not moving as swiftly.

Offer single tube, double or “honeymoon tubes,” canoes, kayaks, and even funyak rentals for the kids! Tubing pricing includes life jackets and transportation up the Toccoa River to begin the trip. Floating back down to TRA outpost should take appropriately 45 minutes. This trip runs in the later part of the day when water is released from the Blue Ridge Dam. Trip is gentle and a great way to soak up the sun!
Shallowford Bridge Tubing

Open seasonally, May through September, Shallowford Bridge Tubing allows you to kick back and enjoy a 1.5 hour trip down the upper Toccoa River in Blue Ridge as you float in the water and refresh your mountain spirit with the soothing flow of the river. Small children may ride in same tube with a parent (recommended for children two and under). Coolers and drinks are allowed!

For a more vamped-up experience, you can rent a tube or kayak to take down the flowing waters of the Cartecay. A shuttle bus will take you and your friends down to the drop off of the river where you can soak in the brilliant Georgia Mountain sun and enjoy an exciting trip down the river.
