Horseback Riding – Take a walk on the wild side and jump on horseback to explore the stunning wonders of the North Georgia Mountains. North Georgia Equestrian Tours offers trail rides in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area. They offer rides to adults and children of all ages and have activities for children who may be a little small to ride with someone or alone. Come experience the beauty of the mountain terrain in a whole new way! Another wonderful place to enjoy horseback riding is at the 5 Star Lodge and Stables just above Blue Ridge in Morganton. Scenic Drive 
– Take a delightful scenic drive through Blue Ridge, Georgia! Visit Mercier Orchards 
– If you haven’t had a chance to visit Mercier Orchards you are really missing out! During the summer, blueberries are in season as well as some late-blooming strawberries! Check their schedule for “you-pick” dates and times, the perfect family activity with some pretty yummy rewards. After an hour or so of picking, you may find your tummy rumbling for something more then some berries. Stop inside and pull up a chair at their delicious little cafe, complete with paninis, wraps, and their specialty, “Pecan Crushed Chicken Salad”. Be sure to save room for one of those famous North Georgia mouth-watering fried pies, a caramel apple, or maybe some homemade fudge.

If you are in the mood to step back in time, taking your friends and family to the Swan Drive-In will do just that! Established in 1955, this drive-in is one of four left in Georgia. The Swan Drive-In offers delicious concession stands offering popcorn, funnel cakes, drinks, candy, and much more! Harvest on Main – This delicious restaurant was named number 11 as one of the best restaurants outside of Atlanta! This wonderful eatery offers southern inspired cuisine with a lot of down-home charm! Treo- is new restaurant that took over “Christie Lee’s Courtyard.” The food is incredible with several outstanding seafood dishes, steaks, and pasta and live music echoes through the courtyard with plenty of comfy outdoor seating. Treo has been a wonderful addition to the downtown Blue Ridge area. Give them a call at 706-946-5200 to ensure you get a good seat.

Joe’s BBQ – In the mood for mouthwatering BBQ? Joe’s BBQ is just the place! Joe’s offers a variety of meats including ribs, smoked pork, and chicken, as well as delectable sides that accompany each meal. North Georgia is famous for their BBQ restaurants and there are plenty to choose from!
