A Slice of Heaven in the Mountains

We just had the most incredible stay at Big Bear Hideaway, and it truly deserves every one of these five stars! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, this cabin exceeded all our expectations. First off, the location is a dream come true. Nestled in the picturesque mountains near Ellijay, GA and Blue Ridge, GA, we couldn’t have asked for a more serene and beautiful setting. The breathtaking views of the surrounding nature were a constant source of awe and tranquility. The cabin itself was a cozy haven that felt like a home away from home. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities one could wish for. The kitchen was well-equipped, making cooking a breeze, and the spacious living room with its fireplace was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We especially loved the 3 decks! Mornings were spent sipping coffee while watching the sunrise, and evenings were dedicated to stargazing in the clear mountain sky from the hot tub. Speaking of which, the hot tub was a delightful touch that added a touch of luxury to our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided a peaceful night’s sleep. Waking up to the sound of birds and the sight of nature just outside our window was magical. The location also offered fantastic outdoor activities. We visited the charming little nearby towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge for shopping and some really great food. We also went lazy river tubing at the nearby Ellijay River Outfitters (highly recommend). Then we went to Expedition Bigfoot! The curator knows what he’s doing at this place. I learned so much about that mysterious creature. The host thoughtfully provided a guidebook with recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable. Lastly, communication with the host was seamless, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail and hospitality were truly exceptional. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a mountain retreat that checks all the boxes – breathtaking views, a cozy cabin, and endless outdoor adventures – Big Bear Hideaway is the place to be. We can’t wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this little slice of heaven!
