We Loved the Morningstar on the Lake!!

We loved sitting in the eating area with the panaromic views of the Fall leaves and the lake, as well as the fire pit and the fireplace. The cabin is decorated very cute, with bears everywhere. The screened-in porch is lovely — we enjoyed sitting in the wicker rocking chairs with our glasses of wine, looking at the lake and the Fall leaves. The hot tub is very nice as well. TV reception and the Internet were great, and there is a supply of movies and board games. We cooked out on the grill, and walked the little trail that runs alongside the cabin. The property is on a gentle slope, which we liked, and parking was easy and level. It was a quiet setting. The proximity to Blue Ridge was outstanding, and we loved touring the town and visiting Mercier Orchards. We also enjoyed having a washer/dryer in the cabin, which made cleaning up a cinch. We used the firepit and fireplace the entire time we were there, since the weather was perfect for these amenities. We were surprised how cozy the cabin is when the temperatures dropped — we didn’t need to run the heat at all.
