B.J. Reece Orchards are family owned and operated, located in the scenic North Georgia mountains. They have U-pick orchards, a country bakery, family activities, and more. Along with the “typical” orchard activities, B.J. Reece Orchards have the Apple Cannon (Saturday and Sunday), the Petting Farm (Saturday and Sunday), wagon rides, a giant jumping pillow, pig racing, corn field scavenger hunts, cow milking, and more!

Open daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. (September and October), and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (November), Hillcrest Orchards features beautiful scenery and fun events. At the Apple Pickin’ Jubilee, guests can pick their own apples, watch pig races, milk a cow, check out the Moonshine Museum, or take a wagon ride through the orchard. The event also boasts live music and cloggers! The Bakery & Ice Cream Parlor offers lots of tasty treats, including apple cider doughnuts, fried apple pies, and homemade ice cream.
Mercier Orchards

This is our staff’s favorite pick!!! Family owned and now operated by the fourth generation, Mercier Orchards offers U-pick events, the Market Store, the Farm Winery, and the Bakery & Deli. Sit on the deck on Monday nights for some wood-fired pizza, sip on hard cider and wine, or spend an afternoon exploring the orchards. They offer a wide variety of apples in their store from July until December, or you can pick your own in the fall. They’re known for their fried apple (and at least a dozen other flavors) pies and apple cider, but you can also try apple butter, almond brittle, apple cider doughnuts, muffins, cookies, and cheese straws!

This beautiful orchard in North Georgia features pick-your-own-apples days and a wide variety of products in their Apple House Farm Market. Browse the store for apple and peach cider, dried apple chips, honey, fudge, candied apples, sorghum syrup, and more. Availability of apples will depend on the weather, but picking days should begin in early August. The Orchard Barn even serves as a wedding and event venue!

Mack Aaron’s Apple House is currently run by the third generation of family members and has been growing apples in the North Georgia Mountains since 1944. They recently planted over 1500 new apple trees including September Wonder (Fuji), Pink Ladys, Honeycrisp, Blondees and Cameos. While you are visiting these spectacular mountains in Georgia, be sure to stop to try not only their apples, peaches and nectarines, but also a wide variety of produce and other delicious treats to enjoy.

Panorama Orchards is a fruit and apple farm that was was established in the 1920’s by the Stembridge family. Currently, you can find over 20 varieties of apples, as well as peaches, and fall vegetables. Known for their delicious apple cider made from a blend of sweet and tart apples grown right there in the mountains of North Georgia. Each batch of cider is unique due to the variety mix of each season.
