Gem Mining

Grab a bucket and try your hand at mining emeralds, sapphires, quartz, Tigers Eye, moonstones, rubies, and more! The Lilly Pad Village gem mining flume is situated in a peaceful and rustic mountain atmosphere, allowing you to enjoying being in the great outdoors as you mine.

Fishing

What better way to spend the day then teaching your little ones how to fish. At the Lilly Pad, this easy access lake is open for fishing during spring, summer, and fall.  The fishing pond is stocked with a variety of fish, including brim, catfish, and bass. The half-acre pond provides a beautiful spot to cast a line, and it’s open to children and adults of all ages – no fishing license required! You can bring your own rod, reel, and bait, but the pond is catch and release, so no treble hooks or corn can be used. If you don’t have your own gear, The Lilly Pad Village has poles and bait available.

Miniature golf

For just one price, enjoy an entire day of unlimited miniature golf play! The unique course is built along the mountainside, tucked away in the lush trees of Blue Ridge, Georgia. The course winds through the trees, past the gem mining flumes, and by the pond. During the hot summer months, you’ll appreciate the heavy shade the course provides. And with the option to golf as many rounds as you like, it offers plenty of family fun – enough for an entire day!

Guided hikes

The Lilly Pad Village offers guided hikes in Blue Ridge, Georgia, all showcasing the natural beauty of the area. If you’re up for a bit more of an adventure, they also offer several four- to five-mile hikes for those wanting something longer and a bit more challenging (an extra $75 per group). Most trips typically last around three to four hours, including driving time. Call ahead to set up an appointment time for a guided hike that will lead you through the scenic hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains!

The Lilly Pad Village is open 10 months out of the year starting February 16th. initially closed Monday and Tuesday and open every other day 11:00 to 4:00. Once season begins, it will be open every day from 9 to 5.

December hours are Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting) from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Because the gem mining depends upon water and water pumps located outside, the gem mines cannot run if the temperatures dip down to or below freezing. Guests should call ahead to make reservations for visits during the week starting November 1. Appointments can be made at 706-534-1317.
